Day Use with Interpretive Hikes and Educational Activities

The Sacramento River Discovery Center is an educational center located on 488 acres adjacent to the Sacramento River at the Red Bluff Diversion Dam, managed by Mendocino National Forest. The property includes an old growth riparian forest stretching along three miles of the Sacramento River, a visitor's center with interactive displays built by school and community groups, an oak woodland, a three acre pond/wetland, picnic areas, and a group campground. A one day teacher training is required for registration in the overnight camping program. For dates and details, or to arrange a visit, call the Sacramento River Discovery Center.
